  • More Information

Williamsport was incorporated as a city on January 15, 1866. On June 4th of the same year, Major James M. Wood was sworn in as the city’s first chief executive. Major James H. Perkins, the fourth mayor, built the lumber boom and started the city on its way to become the “Lumber City.” Archibald M. Hoagland, mayor from 1917 to 1924, welcomed the soldiers home from WWI with parades and prayers. These are just a few of the people we honor in the “The Mayor’s Suite.”

“The Mayor’s Suite” is next door to “The Engine Room,” and the two share an entrance area, perfect for traveling with friends or additional family members.

Our traditional rooms, with their large windows and soft colors, provide a very comfortable atmosphere. Private toilet/shower rooms are brightly lit as well, and the original charm and character of this old city hall adds to the beauty of each room.

“The Mayor’s Suite” (Suite 106), which is perfect for the family,  has two QUEEN beds and a separate room with a small futon and a large counter & stools.
