A Magnificent Building by Eber Culver

Our beloved Old City Hall, designed by the illustrious architect Eber Culver in the late 1800s, has been recently renovated so that its history and incomparable architecture can be shared with both business and leisure travelers alike. We are sure visitors will be intrigued by the unusual yet comfortable atmosphere of the guest rooms. Each displays the soul of a structure that bears the memories of many long-forgotten moments that helped form Williamsport into the proud city it is today.

Each room, whether the "Hulk" Industrial, Traditional, Legacy or new Market Square styling, has historical charm and character yet provides modern comforts.

Visit the new Market Square Lobby, located on the second floor. The main wall proudly displays Williamsport's Market Square as seen looking north before the terrible Conflagration on August 20, 1871, which destroyed the city's cultural center.

Unique Features of the "Hulk" Rooms

Here at City Hall Grand Hotel, our furnishings are each one of a kind. Josh Butters from "Hulk" has created a look that is unique to our hotel. Every detail, from each bed and sliding door to the sink and lights, was made exclusively for us. No two rooms are alike, bringing our guests a different experience with each visit.

Our open showers create a space like no other. Separate toilet rooms offer a European flair, and our sliding doors create and recreate a space to suit the individual's desired look and needs. Although some rooms are perfect for the couple, we suggest a few rooms for those traveling with children: the FLOOD (Room 308) or LUMBER (Room 309) rooms, which are more family-friendly, offer a separate space that easily closes off to provide needed privacy.

Lovingly-restored photographs, including a few floor-to-ceiling applications, allow each visitor a chance to stroll through our city's rich history. Whether every visit brings our guest back to a favorite room, or sparks the curiosity to see what is in the next room, we are sure that each visit will be a historical one.

Conveniently Located Forever in the Heart of Downtown Williamsport

Walk or drive to our city's finest eateries, coffee houses, boutiques, microbreweries, and pubs, as well as Lycoming College and the Pennsylvania College of Technology. The Little League World Series International Headquarters and Museum are just over the bridge, less than two miles away.

For outdoor enthusiasts, Williamsport sits on the shores of the Susquehanna River, nestled among mountains, countless trout streams, and game lands. Access to the Susquehanna River Walk is just a few blocks away.

Traditional, Legacy, and Market Square Rooms and Suites

Unlike the unique, industrial style of "HULK," these rooms and suites provide an experience that will likely appeal to a different audience. Our goal is to make sure that every visitor finds the perfect fit!

These cozy rooms and suites, with their large windows and soft colors, provide a very comfortable atmosphere. Private toilet/shower rooms are brightly lit as well, yet the original charm and character of this old city hall add to the beauty of each room. Several of these rooms proudly boast the old vaults with their delicate artistry, utilizing them as either closets or, surprisingly, bathrooms for our guests. Most of these rooms have mini refrigerators and Keurig machines, and some of our suites have jet baths. Like the "HULK" Rooms, the history of Williamsport is proudly on display, with some pictures dating back to the late 1800s.

Hassle-Free Keyless Entry

We do not have a front desk at the hotel, so that you can enjoy a safe and private experience with our contact-free check-in.

IMPORTANT: Since a staff member may not be available at the hotel upon your arrival, all guests must have their personal KEY CODE handy before ARRIVAL to allow access to the hotel itself and each guest room.

A "PAYMENT CONFIRMATION" is sent via email from the booking site shortly after booking. This, however, does NOT have the code needed to access the hotel and guest room.

KEY CODES are sent VIA TEXT to the number supplied at the time of booking before noon on the day of ARRIVAL. Codes for same-day bookings will be texted as soon as possible. (Be sure to follow the four-digit code with the pound sign.)

If you have not received or have misplaced your code, you may call 570-215-2810 after NOON on the day of your arrival.

A Walk Through History

After stepping off the elevator on the third floor, one immediately begins to see the true history of our city. A floor-to-ceiling mural of the flood of 1894 begins the journey. To the left, our lobby, with vending and ice machines and a Keurig and microwave, provides a common area to sit and relax. Boasting images of Civil War heroes from the mid-1860s, a transporting train from the lumber era, and a "1938 radio car," the lobby is a convenient gathering place for those traveling with family or friends.

Clean and Fresh

At City Hall Grand Hotel, cleanliness is our top priority. Our cleaning staff is available daily and is usually on hand between 11:00 check-out and 3:00 check-in.

While a team member is always available, we limit guest/staff contact to an "as-needed" basis. At City Hall Grand, we appreciate the current environment and follow all CDC recommendations.
